What do you remember about about 9-11, 2001?
I remember with incredible sadness the thought of how many firefighters were fighting to help people out of the towers, get up to the fire and put it out. In the days after, the incredible numbers of loss of life from three different sites was unbelievable.
What do you remember?
Suisun City has been approved to receive two pieces of steel from the World Trade Center site. This steel will be used for a public art memorial. An important part of this project is a community discussion to remember and reflect on the events of September 11, 2001. We hope you will share your memories, stories, feelings, and comments. A fund raising project to initially raise $20,000 is underway. Please consider donating using the button below.

Suisun 9-11 Memorial Fund
I'm Mike O'Brien and I would like to welcome you to our Community discussions.
In the next few weeks, you will see some changes in this site as we discover how to make it work better for our needs.
I would like to suggest that everybody needs to keep some simple rules in mind for this blog . On a personal level I would hope the basic rules we all learned as children would apply, possibly with a little modification.
Rule #1, #2, and #3:
If you don't have anything nice to say... then say it nicely.
1) No profanity
2) No name calling
3) Treat others with respect
Rule #4:
Share your toys...If you have something to share with the group, do so, just make sure it is on topic.
4) No spamming the blog or forum with off topic information
Rule #5:
Use your words, just not all of them.
5) Keep your posts as short as possible while still getting the message across without rambling about multiple topics in a single post.
I think these could cover it for some people. Now let me go back and make sure I'm taking my own suggestions :)
Thanks for joining in the discussion.
